Implementation Plan

Sandy Pheiffer and I have completed a WIKI page for all of the performing art groups in the Adams-Friendship area.  This will serve as a tool and public relations plug for all performing groups.  Sandy and I discussed that there can never be enough forms of communication open to the general public about what performing art groups are performing, where they are performing, etc. It will also serve to link interested people to other professional and non-professional performance opportunities in and around our area, including Baraboo, Appleton, Minneapolis, Chicago, LaCrosse and Madison.  There are so many rich opportunities surrounding us, even though we live in a rural area.  Links to performing venus and their box offices might be of interest to more people than we might suspect.

Assessment

It’s nearly impossible to create an assessment rubric for the project that Sandy and I have completed and plan to use/update throughout the year.  The reason for this is that it’s more of an information tool for community members, students, staff, etc. to use.  We will be able to assess whether this was effective by doing the following:

1) Website Counter (see how many people actually visit the site)

2) Create an email link for effective communication

3) Create links to other websites for easy access (band, chorus, Sandy County Players, etc.)

4) Send out the web addresses to band parents, etc. for easy access to other performing art groups (completed by 9/5/10)

5) Let the local newspaper know, so they’re able to print upcoming events in the paper

6) update monthly

    It will be interesting to monitor the use of the website.  It is a matter of informing people of its existence, keeping it updated so that it is worthwhile to visit and encouraging people to get in the habit of checking it on a regular basis.  At least it's a start!
